CENTRE OPEN DAY 5 MARCH

An Open Day was held at the Centre on 5 March starting at 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

  • Public Lecture - 17 February 2011 by Prof Ineke Mennen.

  • Two Centre members of staff, Llinos Thomas and Hunydd Andrews, have been a part of the university's efforts to raise money for Hope House. In October both of them abseiled down the Marquis' of Anglesey's Column in aid of the charity and have been part of presenting a cheque of over £7000 from the university to Hope House.  Congratulations to Hunydd and Llinos!

  • A Public Lecture was held in Welsh, entitled 'For the sake of our children' on 25 November 2010 and given by Dr Gwyn Lewis. Further information here.
  • A teachers' conference was held in Bangor on 9 July 2010.  This conference was for teachers only. Click here for the programme.
  • What are the advantages and disadvantages of bilingualism? This is the field of Enlli Thomas, a young scientist from Bangor University and was the focus of the "Wynebau Newydd" documentary on S4C.
